In 2017, our firm was referred to this client who was interested in remodeling and enhancing the design of their existing locations. Akin's Natural Foods prides itself on being dedicated to providing thoughtfully selected, responsibly sourced food and supplements. SGA tapped into our extensive grocery design experience and developed an innovative design solution to respond to the client’s needs. We provided virtual walkthroughs of the proposed design to allow the client to visualize the refreshed space, including updated lighting, finishes, millwork, and signage.
SGA Design Group was tasked with developing a design deck with guideline solutions that could be implemented across their multiple locations regardless of each store layout.
After the success of the Main Tulsa store at The Fontana Shopping Center, we were requested to provide a similar approach for their “Earth Origin’s Market” in St. Petersburg, Florida; part of their Chamberlin’s Natural Foods branch.
Later we designed a “Smoothie Bar” for the Akin’s Bixby store; where we provided a “Condensed Design Package” capable of being submitted for individual trade permits, minimizing their cost and time.
